4 things a commission does not buy
- A place in the catalog. The listings were chosen to cover a spread of vocabulary, from a five-word clog to a sentence carrying four claim words at once.
- A better description. Every entry is written to the same shape and from the same source, which is the listing’s own text.
- A badge. Badges are awarded on a stated basis that is printed on the card beside them, and every one of them is checked against the catalog data by a script.
- A ranking. Nothing on this site is ranked by comfort, by support or by anything else, and no page here recommends a product for any purpose.
How the catalog was assembled
The aim was a spread of listing styles rather than a spread of prices, which is why the catalog contains a three-word beach sandal listing and a sentence with four claim words in it. The categories are ordinary retail categories. Within each one the subgroups are by construction, because construction is the thing photographs actually show.
